Art week in Cape Town is quite something to experience. Art lovers from all over the world descend upon the Mother City to feast on incredible art, network with collectors, artists and gallerists, and of course to appreciate all the natural beauty that Cape Town puts on show in the early months of the year.
It all culminates in the Investec Cape Town Art Fair which this week played host to more than 25 000 visitors and 106 galleries from 18 countries – and YourLuxury Africa was there.
The YLA Lounge at South Africa’s largest contemporary art fair became something of a gathering place for many visitors, with Boschendal bubbly on tap at the Vernissage before the official opening.
Our elegant décor was created by the Silk and Cotton Company and was the perfect backdrop for extraordinary artworks by Irma Stern and Alexis Preller on loan from Strauss & Co auction house.
Adding to the look and feel of our lounge was coffee table decoration and fragrance courtesy of Delaire Graff and designer handbags by Carol Bouwer. Orms was responsible for the incredible framing of the YourLuxury Africa magazine covers.
YourLuxury Africa is a new media platform focusing on luxury lifestyle as seen through an African lens. In addition to our website and social media channels, YourLuxury Africa publishes a monthly print edition and several Special Editions during the year. The YLA lounge pops up at luxury lifestyle happenings, launches and customised events.
