Omega Elevates the Constellation Collection with Cosmic-Inspired Timepieces

From ancient meteorites to diamond-set bezels, the 2024 Constellation models reflect Omega’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.

By Debbie Hathway

Earlier this year, Omega unveiled new additions to the Constellation collection featuring uniquely crafted meteorite dials. Sourced from the Muonionalusta meteorite, estimated to be over 4.5 billion years old, each dial showcases natural, one-of-a-kind patterns. Omega has further enhanced these dials by treating them with different colours for added variety. The new collection offers 20 models across four sizes, blending luxurious materials and cosmic inspiration.

  • 41mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer: A standout piece in stainless steel with a black ceramic bezel. Its meteorite dial has a rhodium-grey galvanic finish, and the hands, indexes, and Constellation star are coated in black PVD for a bold contrast.
  • 29mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer: This model combines stainless steel and 18K yellow gold with a dial treated in PVD Moonshine Gold, giving it a luminous finish. Pretty diamond hour markers and a diamond-paved bezel complete the look.
  • 28mm selection: A striking model crafted from stainless steel and 18K Sedna Gold, featuring a dial with an icy blue colour treatment and diamond hour markers.
  • 25mm selection: Featuring a bi-colour design of stainless steel and 18K Sedna Gold, this model is elevated by a lilac-coloured meteorite dial, diamond-set bezel, and hour markers. The back of this case, and that of the 28mm model, is adorned with a stamped Constellation Observatory medallion.

Where jewellery meets watchmaking

Omega’s latest Constellation collection masterfully blends fine watchmaking with jewellery design, creating the perfect accessory for expressive styling. Each timepiece stands out with its spiralling dial pattern from the iconic Constellation star at 6 o’clock. First introduced in 2008 and refined with the collection’s makeover, this motif makes a sophisticated return in 2024, now offered in 20 different versions with vibrant colour options.

Most dials incorporate electrochemical etching to achieve their intricate patterns, while laser engraving is used to craft the iridescent mother-of-pearl dials. Signature details like half-moon facets on the case ends and diamond-paved bezels, set between the iconic Constellation claws, reinforce the collection’s storied heritage.

The collection comes in three sizes – 29mm, 28mm, and 25mm – in steel, 18K Moonshine Gold, 18K Sedna Gold, or a steel-and-gold mix. Each model is available with the signature Constellation bracelet with a comfort-adjustment system or elegant leather straps to match any personal style.

The 29mm models feature a Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre, visible through a sapphire crystal case back, ensuring exceptional accuracy certified by METAS. Meanwhile, the 28mm and 25mm quartz models maintain their focus on reliability with a stamped Constellation Observatory medallion on the case back, a nod to the brand’s legacy of precision.

Omega’s 2024 Constellation collection combines technology, heritage, and artistry, delivering timepieces that shine as jewellery and high-performance instruments.
