With the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 set to start on 6 February 2026, Omega is marking its role as Official Timekeeper with a new Seamaster Diver 300M. Designed as a wearable tribute to the Games, the 43.5mm timepiece takes its cues directly from the Milano Cortina emblem.
The case construction sets the tone. Crafted from white ceramic and grade 5 titanium — materials chosen for their lightness, resilience, and crisp aesthetic — the watch presents a distinctly wintry palette.
Omega plays with finish and texture throughout, combining a polished andbrushed case body with a sandblasted helium escape valve and crown A white ceramic bezel ring, engraved with a laser-ablated diving scale in positive relief, completes the design.
The dial continues the narrative in white ceramic, featuring a laser-engraved frosted surface and a finger-trace pattern inspired by the “26” of the event emblem. Rhodium-plated hands and indexes are filled with white Super-LumiNova for improved legibility in poor light.
A varnished central seconds hand introduces a subtle blue gradient, echoing the competition logo. On the reverse, a stamped Milano Cortina 2026 emblem on the grade 5 titanium caseback permanently links the piece to the XXV Olympic Winter Games.
Worn on an integrated white rubber strap with a titanium buckle, the Seamaster Diver 300M is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. With a 55-hour power reserve and certification at the Swiss industry’s highest standard, it delivers the precision and reliability expected of a watch associated with elite sport.
That precision will be on display across all 116 events and 16 disciplines as Omega fulfils its 32nd Olympic Timekeeper appointment since 1932.
Among the athletes competing will be Team South Africa, fielding its largest Winter Games delegation to date. The five-strong squad includes teenage alpine skiers Thomas Weir (17) and Lara Markthaler (18), freestyle skier Malica Malherbe (21), skeleton slider Nicole Burger (31), and cross-country skier Matthew Smith (35). Led by three-time Winter Olympian Alex Heath as Chef de Mission, the team represents a new chapter for South African winter sport — timed, as ever, down to the finest margin.
