Nestled within the Italian Alps lies a unique testament to one family’s vision of harmony. Created by its founder, Ermenegildo Zegna, Oasi Zegna is a 100-square-kilometre natural territory centred around Trivero, a small town in Italy’s Piedmont region. It is a living landscape where design, nature, and family have been inextricably linked for over a century. It was here, amid the mountains, that the Zegna family built their homes and cultivated a deep commitment to the arts, finding daily inspiration in the beauty that surrounded them. This philosophy culminated in projects like the 232 Road, which connected Oasi Zegna to local communities, and in a particularly inspired artistic collaboration.
It was within this visionary context that the family invited Pietro Porcinai, one of the 20th century’s most influential landscape architects, to Trivero. Born, notably, in the same year as the Zegna brand in 1910, Porcinai dedicated his life to redefining how human spaces coexist with the natural world. Welcomed by Ermenegildo Zegna himself, Porcinai was asked not merely to design, but to help shape a philosophy.
The fruit of this collaboration was the Winter Garden, a serene space embodying a shared ideal: the perfect harmony between glass, light, water, and nature. Porcinai reimagined gardens as bridges between domestic life and the local landscape at Casa Zegna, Cà Gianin, and Villa Al Roc. These were not conventional greenhouses, but living rooms immersed in nature — spaces for social gatherings, family moments, and business, where architecture and flora existed in quiet balance.
At a time when industry, art, and landscape design rarely converged, Porcinai’s work introduced the language of the modern garden into Trivero’s classical villas and factories. Through pergolas, treillages, and ‘green walls’, he connected work and leisure, welcoming nature inside rather than erasing it. This philosophy became a physical expression of Zegna’s core principles: refinement, harmony, and innovation rooted in respect for the environment.
For Spring 2026, Zegna returns to this foundational site with a new campaign featuring Global Ambassador Mads Mikkelsen. Shot within the Winter Garden, the campaign captures a style that feels instinctive rather than imposed. This philosophy is expressed through extraordinary materials that move in harmony with Oasi Zegna, blurring the line between wild nature and refined design.
The collection showcases the pinnacle of the brand’s textile artistry. Vellus Aureum, Zegna’s rarest wool fibre, is paired with the supple precision of SECONDSKIN leather. Within SECONDSKIN family, iconic Triple Stitch™ shoe appears as functional signatures of the brand, translating ZEGNA’s heritage of performance and craftsmanship into contemporary form. Silhouettes are relaxed and fluid, responding to the body with understated confidence, evolving with the wearer as naturally as the seasons change.
From the thoughtful construction of the Il Conte jacket in SECONDSKIN to the refined details shaping each piece, every stitch speaks of ease, elegance, and a way of living attuned to the world — a principle first cultivated in a garden, over a century ago.
