Gucci introduces five new additions to its G-Timeless Métiers d’Art and Gucci 25H High Watchmaking collections, continuing its exploration of craftsmanship, artistry, and horological design. Gucci’s archival silk scarf designs inspire the Métiers d’Art range, while the Gucci 25H is given a new treatment of rainbow gemstones.
Moving beyond timekeeping, the House’s latest interpretations bridge the gap between Florence’s sartorial heritage and the pinnacle of Swiss precision. For the collector who values the “hand of the maker”, these five pieces represent a symphony of rare decorative arts, from miniature plumage to hand-cut rainbow sapphires.
The Flora Heritage
A precise interpretation of Vittorio Accornero’s iconic 1966 print, this G-Timeless model features a white-gold base clad in onyx and inlaid with individually laser-cut minerals, including pink opal and blood jasper. Every leaf is hand-engraved and micro-painted, while a diamond-set tourbillon at 12 o’clock provides a mechanical heartbeat to a dial populated by tiny, hand-sculpted white-gold dragonflies.
The Ethereal Crane
Drawing on an early 1980s archival scarf, this rose-gold creation features the specialised work of French feather artist Nelly Saunier. Using feathers gathered during natural moulting, she creates a shimmering gradient of peach and rose tones. The scene is elevated by a grand feu enamel dial, where flowing channels of baguette-cut diamonds and mother-of-pearl mimic the interplay of light on water.
The Tropical Toucan
Tropical motifs come alive through tonal blue and aquamarine feather marquetry. Toucans and lush foliage are fashioned from mother-of-pearl, then hand-painted on both sides for a 3-D effect. The tropical palette is anchored by a fuchsia-pink mother-of-pearl flower adorning the tourbillon, blending high complication with high artistry.
The Animalia Tiger
Inspired by the late 1970s, this model features a hand-painted rose-gold tiger emerging from a mother-of-pearl jungle. Subtle micro-painting evokes a “milky haze” sun, lending the dial a cinematic depth. It is finished with a hand-engraved rose-gold bamboo accent, a nod to Gucci’s most famous design DNA.
The Gucci 25H Rainbow
A sculptural reimagining of the ultra-thin Gucci 25H rounds out the collection. At just 8.4mm thick, this architectural marvel features an amphitheatre of handset, baguette-cut rainbow sapphires. The graduated stones create a luminous frame for the central open-work dial, allowing a clear view of the skeletonised movement. It is a brilliant fusion of modern geometry and the timeless allure of spectral light.
