A Season to Celebrate, Give and Reflect

As we close 2023 and get ready to press refresh for a new year, we’re giving you a double issue for December 2023 and January 2024 that takes you on a journey from the peak of summer and its revelry in gifting, culinary indulgence, cocktails and festive events to the repose of a new year focused on wellness, restorative travel and quiet reflection.

By YourLuxury Africa

On a celebratory note, friends and business partners Natasha Sideris, CEO and founder of Tashas Group, and Collective Africa founder Nicky Greig, have created a luxury lifestyle brand that is spreading African magic throughout the Middle East. We speak to them about their latest reasons to celebrate, which include three luxury concepts in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi.

We also raise a festive glass to Africa’s capital of cool, Ghana. This destination is fast becoming an end-of-year meeting point for young Africans from the continent and diaspora through its ingenious Beyond the Return campaign. This is Ghana’s invitation for Africans around the world to take a cultural pilgrimage to its capital, Accra, and enjoy all it has to offer.

We’ve created the ultimate guide to luxury gifting with an eye on the best beauty, fashion, food, drinks, watches, jewels, tech and home decor to spoil the important people in your life. Our cue to wind down and reset comes in the form of a reflective thought piece from our culture commentator Reverend Kabelo Motlhakane, who calls for a return to the simple act of humanising as a way back to a balanced life. We also visited two splendid hideaways in the Okavango Delta. If you’re not already in the convivial spirit of summer, I hope this issue will set the tone for what’s on the menu this season.
