The inaugural Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek, presented by Nedbank, has unveiled its full programme ahead of its debut from 27–29 March 2026. Rather than a mere replica of its famed Swiss predecessor, this iteration is conceived as a distinctly African chapter — one shaped by the unique locale, its people, and a spirit of creative exchange. Nearly 40 artists from across the globe and the African continent will gather for a curated celebration of music and culture.
Founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs, the Montreux Jazz Festival has long cultivated a legacy of artistic excellence and collaboration. Its arrival in South Africa signals a new chapter, placing African voices firmly at the centre of the global musical conversation.
