In tribute to one of its most iconic jewellery designs, Boodles is marking the 25th anniversary of its celebrated Raindance collection with a show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025. Designed by Catherine MacDonald, Principal Designer at Landform Consultants, the Boodles Raindance Garden draws inspiration from the movement of raindrops and the collection’s distinctive aesthetic.
The story comes full circle: it was at Chelsea 25 years ago that Boodles’ Director of Design, Rebecca Hawkins, was inspired by sunlight dancing on raindrops – a moment that led to the creation of the Raindance collection. Now, that same inspiration returns to its roots as an immersive garden experience.
The design reflects the essence of the jewellery, with circular paving etched in concentric rings leading to a platinum-coloured Raindance pavilion. Its domed roof channels rainwater into a rill that encircles its base, echoing the graceful flow of the collection’s platinum-set diamonds. Three platinum-finished water features, arranged in a diamond bezel formation, further reinforce the theme.
A planting palette of soft greens, whites, and blush pinks evokes the natural beauty and rare diamonds of the collection. Ferns, chosen for their texture and calming fractal patterns, add visual interest while enhancing a sense of well-being.
“We are thrilled to be returning to RHS Chelsea to commemorate the 25th anniversary of our beloved Raindance Collection. We are working once again with designer Catherine MacDonald, and it seems a fitting tribute that we create a garden honouring Raindance at the very flower show that first inspired its creation,” says Boodles MD James Amos.
This marks Catherine MacDonald’s seventh RHS Chelsea garden and her second collaboration with Boodles, following the 2024 Boodles National Gallery Garden. With design and inspiration so intricately entwined, the Boodles Raindance Garden promises a celebration of creativity, nature, and enduring British craftsmanship.
