Moonphase magic discover Longines’ latest additions to its Flagship Heritage line

Traditional craftsmanship meets lunar precision as the Swiss watchmaker extends an emblematic collection.

The Flagship models’ enduring charm and uncomplicated sophistication have solidified the Longines collection as an everlasting classic. Among Longines’ inaugural timepieces, the Flagship stands as a testament to the brand’s early legacy.

In 2023, the emblematic winged hourglass brand introduces a trio of fresh iterations to its Flagship Heritage line, now enhanced with the inclusion of a mesmerizing moonphase complication.

Rotating on a small dial at 6 o’clock, the moon’s colour matches the date indicator hand, the hour markers and the hour, minute and second hands – gilt or silvered – depending on the model. They are also coated with Super-LumiNova® for improved readability in daylight or nighttime. The detail contrasts beautifully with a silvered opaline, sunray silver or sunray blue domed dial inspired by the original 1957 model. The Flagship emblem is embossed on the watch’s screw-down case back.

These timepieces are powered by an L899.5 self-winding mechanical movement, fitted with a silicon balance spring, resisting magnetic fields and offering superior precision. It has a power reserve of up to 72 hours.

The redesigned steel case is 38.5mm in diameter and features satin-brushed finishes and shortened chamfered lugs.

These watches are supplied on a brown, grey or blue leather strap to suit the dial colour and fastens with a new Heritage pin buckle.
