Phillips will present the fourth edition of its Geneva Jewels Auction on 12 May 2025 at Hotel President Wilson. Leading the sale is a 53.14-ct Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond and diamond pendant, offered alongside a pair of D Colour, Flawless diamond earrings weighing 10.92ct and 10.58ct. Another key lot is a 1.85-ct Fancy Vivid Orangy Pink diamond ring.
Benoît Repellin, Phillips’ Worldwide Head of Jewellery, said, “We are delighted to present the highlights of our Geneva sale this spring, where our top lots include a magnificent Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond pendant and an exquisite pair of diamond earrings. Following the outstanding results achieved for coloured gemstones in 2024, we are particularly excited to present a superb selection this season, alongside Art Deco masterpieces and historically significant treasures. This auction celebrates extraordinary craftsmanship and provenance, and we look forward to welcoming collectors and enthusiasts to our international highlight tour ahead of the auction in Geneva this May.”
The catalogue includes a strong offering of coloured stones, led by a 7.10-ct Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring by Van Cleef & Arpels. A notable group of Burmese rubies features prominently, including a 7.37-ct Bulgari ruby and diamond ring and a 10.59-carat Burmese ruby and diamond ring. A 122.77-ct unmounted Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique stands out, alongside a Burmese ruby and diamond necklace. Also featured are two sapphires: a 13.24-ct Burmese sapphire and diamond ring by Graff, and a 20.11-ct Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring.
In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the 1925 Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, Phillips will offer a curated selection of Art Deco jewels. Highlights include a circa 1910 Cartier brooch crafted by Henri Picq and a 1920s crystal and diamond brooch by Janesich. These are joined by a pair of diamond earrings created by Chaumet in 1934 for a French noble family. Retained within the family collection, the earrings formed part of a traditional wedding gift.
The sale also includes jewels from the 1950s and 1960s, consigned from a private collection. Among them are a decorative minaudière by Van Cleef & Arpels and a pendant necklace set with rubies, emeralds, and diamonds.
Previews will take place at Hotel President Wilson, Quai Wilson 47, Geneva, from 7 to 12 May, in conjunction with GemGenève. The auction is on 12 May 2025, 3pm CEST.
