Montblanc FW25: Alpine Leather Reimagined

Montblanc elevates luxury leather for Fall/Winter 2025, blending its writing heritage with fresh Alpine tones, lighter materials, and modern silhouettes.

Under artistic director Marco Tomasetta, every piece in Montblanc’s Fall/Winter 2025 leather collections blends function with artistry, ensuring the collection speaks to modern travellers and aesthetes alike.

The Writing Traveller

This centrepiece design evokes the romance of a writer’s desk transported into daily life. Available as a handbag and briefcase, The Writing Traveller showcases the art of fine leather craftsmanship. Its compartments are carefully designed to hold pens, notebooks, a leather wallet or cardholder. The briefcase also includes a dedicated watch slot, underscoring Montblanc’s attention to detail. Crafted in corteccia leather, the sand and khaki shades feature an embossed bark-inspired texture and a sfumato finish, each airbrushed by hand for subtle individuality.

Envelope Clutch and Document Holder

Honouring the maison’s writing legacy, these envelope-shaped designs combine soft-grain leather with Meisterstück calfskin detailing. A stitched strap recalls the gesture of pen on paper. Offered in two formats – a compact Clutch and a larger Clutch Document Holder — they are available in noisette, khaki, and black.

Companion Backpack, On-Body and Crossbody Bags

The Companion line introduces lightweight leathers for urban mobility. The Backpack, crafted in khaki grain leather, integrates a front zip compartment for easy organisation. The On-Body Bag adds a vertical side pocket and comes in in noisette, khaki, or black. Meanwhile, the Crossbody combines grain and Meisterstück leathers, distinguished by nib-shaped cut-outs along the sides.

New Backpack Silhouette

A playful double-strap design defines this versatile new medium-sized Backpack, offered in deep brown sfumato calfskin or black embossed saffiano. Open side pockets allow swift access to essentials, ideal for those moving seamlessly between work and leisure.

Novel Materials

Montblanc draws from its archives to introduce Jacquard 4810, a fabric with vintage inflection. Lightweight yet robust, its pattern interlaces the number 4810 — a nod to the Meisterstück nib — with Art Deco cross lines from the 1920s. This textile adds character to the Document Case, Tote, Toiletry Case, and Mini Crossbody, each offset by black leather trims.

Distinctive Forms, Reinterpreted

Familiar silhouettes return with unexpected treatments. The Weekender Bag and Thin Document Case appear in khaki corteccia leather with a khaki sfumato gradient. The Companion 24/7 Bag, adaptable between top-handle and backpack styles, is now available in khaki grain leather, while its exterior compartments merge function and discretion.

The M-LOCK Backpack and Messenger, once in Extreme 3.0 leather, evolve into charcoal grain leather accented by titanium-toned M-LOCK 4810 closure. Smaller accessories embrace richer hues: the Mini Crossbody in velvet blue Meisterstück leather, and the larger Crossbody in tweed blue saffiano, a colour evoking the creative spirit of bohemian writers.

Travel, Elevated

Montblanc’s #MY4810 Trolley enters a bold new chapter with a warm steel colourway that shifts between silver and bronze. Available in three cabin sizes, the lightweight polycarbonate shell features the Extreme 3.0 XL pattern and noisette leather trims. Complementing this, the Travel Case returns in noisette with the same pattern, designed to slip neatly onto the trolley handle.
