What happens when over 400 women come together to share stories, embrace vulnerability, and speak their truths? On November 16, women from all walks of life gathered in Sandton, armed with Veuve Clicquot, to laugh, learn, and connect at the annual Vastly Sage Brunch.
YourLuxury Africa was the media partner for the event and ahead of time, got to speak with some of the key speakers, including host Amanda Dambuza, auditor-general Tsakani Malukele and author Mpoomy Ledwaba. Speaking about the origins of the event back in 2019, Dambuza said “I was clear on what experience I wanted to create, and since people were putting on masks and being brave coming out, I wanted it to be special and for it to come to life the way I saw it in my mind. I didn’t want to be negotiating with people who don’t get the vision”.
Before speaking, AG Mulukele made her team stand up, thanking them for their support and explaining how they do much of the groundwork.
Tickets for the event are known to sell out quickly—and after a Saturday spent with women breaking barriers and showing courage in the toughest times, it’s easy to see why.
