We’re giving one lucky reader and their partner the chance to win a ticket to watch ballet star Siphesihle November perform at the Artscape Opera House on March 25.

The winner will also be invited to a very special Cocktail evening to be held in honour of Siphesihle on Thursday 20th March at the beautiful gallery space of Strauss & Co in Cape Town.

November is our March issue cover star and in our latest issue, we spoke to the dancer about his journey from leaving Zolani, a small township outside Cape Town to train as a ballet dancer in Canada when he was just a young boy.

“I can share that I’ll be performing a piece by Nacho Duato called Remanso, originally created for the American Ballet Theatre. It’s a male trio, and the evening will be a mixed bill featuring a combination of classical and contemporary works,” he told us.

Cape Ballet Africa makes its debut at Artscape Opera House from 25 – 27 March with a new triple bill, Breathwords. The performance on 25 March will be accompanied by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

The line-up also features the world premiere of whispers from within, choreographed by renowned Dutch choreographer Wubkje Kuindersma, set to Summer and Spring of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons recomposed by Max Richter.

Completing the programme is excitingly Nacho Duato’s Remanso, a project made possible with the invaluable support of the Embassy of Spain in Pretoria and the Spanish Consulate in Cape Town. November will be performing Nacho Duato’s Remanso.
