Tudor Royal Finds Its Edge in Burgundy

A richer dial and sharper case and bracelet details give the collection a fresh expression, with Manufacture movements adding technical substance.

Tudor has refreshed its Royal collection with new dial colours, revised proportions, and a sharper take on its distinctive integrated-bracelet design. Available in 30mm, 36mm, and 40mm sizes, the range retains the combination of sporty architecture and dressier detailing that has defined the Royal, while introducing several considered updates.

The burgundy dial is particularly striking, bringing warmth to the applied Roman numerals and, on this 30mm model, the diamond-set bezel. The bezel has also been redesigned, with precisely defined polished notches that give the case a crisper, more contemporary appearance.

Much of the Royal’s character comes from its bracelet, designed to create an uninterrupted line from case to wrist. Five links combine broad satin-brushed surfaces with narrower polished elements, introducing contrast without becoming overly decorative. Revised lugs and end links prevent the bracelet links from rubbing against the case, while Tudor’s “T-fit” folding clasp with safety catch allows for quick adjustment and improved comfort.

The model houses the self-winding Manufacture Calibre MT5201, which is COSC-certified and regulated by Tudor to run within -3/+5 seconds per day. It provides approximately 50 hours of power reserve.

Available in stainless steel and yellow gold, the watch case measures 8.7mm thick and is water-resistant to 100 metres, with a screw-down crown and sapphire crystal completing the specification.

The result is a Royal that feels more polished in both senses of the word: technically stronger, visually more refined and, in burgundy, considerably more expressive.
