For the first time since 2019, the cream of South Africa’s culinary industry gathered at a glamorous event to celebrate 2022’s Eat Out stars and special award winners.

The prestigious ceremony was held at the Grand Arena at GrandWest and paid homage to an industry that has not only proven its resilience throughout lockdowns and quarantines, but continued to grow and innovate during this difficult time.

The Eat Out team visited 300 restaurants across the country and scored them in various categories such as best overall dining experience, food, drinks, service and ambience. As a result of their gradings, restaurants received one, two and three-star ratings. See the list here.
