HOW TO CREATE Chic Celebrations this festive season with Moët & Chandon

Nothing gets a special occasion started like popping a cork off a bottle of bubbly, but there are a few ways to elevate the experience when it comes to chic entertaining. According to Marie-Christine Osselin at Moet & Chandon’s home, Château de Saran, champagne should be kept in the fridge for a few hours – or days in advance – and then chilled 15 minutes before drinking in a bucket filled with one-third water and two-thirds ice cubes. Moët & Chandon believe the best way to enjoy champagne is not in a flute but in a white wine glass, as the larger bowl allows the wine to expand and express its full bouquet and complexities. Moët & Chandon has designed the 870 Glass, which, at the pinnacle of winemaking, craftsmanship, and science, not only expresses Moët & Chandon champagnes to their fullest, but reveals an extraordinary 870 000 bubbles per serving.

The Cocktail Party

Versatile and seductive, Moët Impérial and its blush version Moët Impérial Rosé are perfect for gatherings where music and mingling flow as easily as the drinks. Each year, cellarmaster Benoît Gouez strives to make Moët Impérial a pristinely balanced blend that always maintains three essential elements: a bright fruitiness, a seductive palate, and an elegant maturity. For larger parties, Moët Impérial Magnums will set the night alight.

The New Year’s Eve Celebration

With the arrival of each new year comes a desire to start anew. No other champagne embodies this attitude more than Ice Impérial and Ice Impérial Rosé – the world’s first champagnes specially created to be enjoyed over ice. Freeing champagne from its age-old rules of etiquette, add festive ice cubes for a bold and glamorous style.

The Perfect Present

We love the luxury of gifts that are remembered long after they’re enjoyed, and Moet & Chandon’s Grand Vintages do just this. A stunning holiday gift for a host in its sleek black packaging, Grand Vintage and Grand Vintage Collection are aged champagnes blended exclusively with grapes from a single year’s harvest. Highly appreciated by champagne connoisseurs and epicureans who look for a taste of sophistication.

The Intimate Dinner

Turn a stylish dinner party into an exceptional tasting experience with Moet & Chandon’s new Collection Impériale, Création No. 1, a blend of seven vintages, uniquely produced, selected, aged, and harmoniously assembled. Based on the craftsmanship used for Moët Imperial, this new expression by Cellarmaster Benoît Gouez takes the art of blending to its most refined.

The Champagne Pyramid Party

Champagne cascading down a tower of glasses is an exquisite celebration highlight and a ritual that was invited by the Maison. To construct a champagne pyramid for roughly six to 20 guests, use a 150cl Magnum bottle of champagne and make sure it’s well chilled to minimise foaming. Use identical wide-brimmed “coupe” glasses or white wine glasses, carefully laying out a base layer of glasses in a tight square or a flower-like rounded formation. For each layer, gradually decrease the number of glasses to form a pyramid shape. Pour the champagne slowly, allowing it to overflow and trickle into the glasses on the level below, filling until they overflow and fill the glasses below them, and so on. Remember to place a tray underneath for any spills.
